How much will it cost?
Yes, its an important question, but the bottom line is I can’t quote a figure until I know what the project will entail. Costs vary depending on the complexity of the work involved, but you can be assured pricing is very competitive. To get the ball rolling, send me an email with a detailed description of your project and your expected budget.
Do I need to pay a deposit before you start work?
A third of the total cost up-front is preferred to kick start a project, however at this time I’m open to any negotiations.
So the projects complete but I’m still not happy, do I still have to pay?
Should this ever occur you won’t need to pay the full quoted cost. I want any client to be 100% happy with the work, and if any revisions or changes can’t satisfy, I would require two thirds of the quoted cost. It should be noted that I will only take on a project which I’m confident I can do a great job on; I will also refuse a project I don’t believe I can do a great job on!
How many revisions will you do within the quoted cost?
This question seems to come from all the quick and cheap design sites online (i.e. $100 with 3 included revisions). I’m not particularly fond of this type of system as it gives the impression that the designer is wrong in what they have done. All the work I do has critical thought and reasoning behind it, and if any number of changes or revisions are desired, I’m more than happy.
I’m thinking of going with you or some else, what extras can you offer?
I believe the work speaks for itself; have a look at my portfolio and if you can see your project fitting in I’d love to help. I won’t offer any included extras with a project as its not needed and undermines the work done. However, unlike many developers, I do frequently correspond with my clients and teach them along the way. There is no point leaving a client with a static site which they can’t operate to its potential, so expect plenty of help and emailed tutorials.
Why are most of your sites using WordPress?
Though wordpress is traditionally blogging software, I’ve found it to be a great CMS (Content Management System) for clients to use. It means that you can edit the site and make changes without needing to know any HTML or CSS code!
What if something goes wrong after my site is online?
I’m here to help; I test all projects before making them live, but should something go wrong I’m only an email away. I will typically respond to any emails within 12 hours.
Do you make websites with flash?
I try and make all sites as compatible as possible over all platforms; unfortunately Adobe Flash has some disadvantages regarding this. If the job needs it, and there is no alternative I will use flash, but it would be a very unique case.
I’ve got a site, but need web hosting… Can you do this?
Why yes I can! Using an Australian based host, I currently charge $20p/mnth for hosting and site maintenance; If something goes wrong, I’m there to help you.
I love those flashy banners and pop-up adverts, can you put these on my site?
(…gulp) no comment!
